ABOUT US

Awakened Death Records was formed in 2018 by Alex "King Grindfuck" Aro, vocalist and mastermind of New England grindcore outfit Grind Of The Dead as a means to release their music. 

But the goal of Awakened Death Records is more than just a vehicle in which to release Grind Of The Dead records. The ultimate goal to to release awesome records from bands in the underground that deserve to be heard. We love everything from grindcore to death metal, hardcore and post-metal. 

As such, this is a small operation, but something that has always been a dream of mine. And while it is fun to release my own music, the real joy of this label will come from releasing records from other bands, bands that move me, bands that display sounds of both the future and past, bands that feel what they are doing with utmost conviction. 

This is a new adventure for me and I know there will be a lot of learning and constant changes but I am excited. I've been a music fan all my life and been involved with the local metal scene here in New England for the past seventeen years. I can't wait to see where this goes and look forward to presenting heavy, face-ripping shit for you to enjoy in various formats.
